About the Role:
Furniture Mart in Houma, LA is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Retail Furniture Store Manager Trainee to join our growing team! This is an exciting opportunity to launch your management career in a hands-on environment where you'll learn the ins and outs of retail furniture operations. Responsibilities:
- Learn all aspects of retail store operations under the guidance of experienced store management
- Assist in leading and motivating a sales team to meet and exceed store revenue goals
- Deliver outstanding customer service and help shoppers find the perfect furniture solutions
- Support inventory management, merchandising, and showroom floor presentation
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, and daily operational tasks
- Participate in sales training programs and develop product knowledge across furniture lines
- Help resolve customer concerns and ensure a positive in-store experience
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years of retail, sales, or customer service experience
- Strong leadership potential with a desire to grow into a management role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with retail POS systems

Compensation: $38,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
